Chico State Summer Session lets you make progress toward your degree during summer break. It's open to all Chico State students, including incoming first-year and transfer students.
Registration is Open!
Summer Session classes are predominantly offered online, and the schedule includes upper & lower division, GE Pathways, and general ed classes to keep you on track to graduation! Classes are offered in one or more of five 4, 6, or 12-week sessions.
Not a Chico State Student?
No problem! Summer Session classes are available on a space available basis and with instructor permission through Summer Open University.

Summer Financial Aid
Eligible for Free Summer Tuition?
If you've submitted a 23/24 FAFSA or CADAA and received a State University Grant during the spring and/or fall term(s), you may be eligible for a State University Grant to cover the tuition for your summer class. This will reduce your out-of-pocket cost to only the $8 campus fees! Email Financial Aid or call (530) 898-6451 for more information!
